Business/Current Affairs Reporter
Dubai One is looking for an experienced Business/Current Affairs Reporter with good knowledge of Dubai and the region.
Candidate must have minimum of 3-5 years experience and be able to:
Generate ideas for stories/features and following leads from news agencies and other sources.
Pitch ideas to editors according to editorial guidelines.
Research and collate evidence and information to support a story using relevant information sources
Write scripts in English for news programs and business news reports.
Select appropriate locations, pictures and sound and exercising editorial judgment on the best angle to approach a story from.
Identify necessary resources and deploying/managing technical crews for location shoots, including sound operators and camera crew.
Provide directorial input, advising crews on what to film or record.
Prepare and present 'on air' material for both pre-recorded and live pieces.
Identify potential interviewees, briefing them, preparing interview questions and conducting both live and recorded interviews.

Do you have a credible Bachelors / Masters Degree in Journalism / TV/ Media/ Political
Science from an accredited University or College?
Do you have professional broadcasting experience in Journalism or TV production of at
least 10 years?
Do you profess excellent editorial, leadership, management, training and organizational
skills as well as excellent communication skills in English and Arabic?
Can you lead a team as well as work independently in developing news content and
covering stories within and outside the country?
Do you have a social and cultural awareness of Dubai and the region?
Are you adept at developing and monitoring news centre budgets and supervising progress of a project from production to post-production?
